As global resource scarcity and environmental challenges intensify, circular economy has become a crucial pillar for sustainable development. Everlight Chemical, adhering to principles of innovation and environmental protection, has actively invested in technological innovation and process optimization, successfully achieving the circular reuse of ammonium sulfate. This groundbreaking achievement led Everlight Chemical to emerge victorious in the highly competitive Fifth Taiwan Circular Economy Awards, securing the highest honor, the Innovation Technology Award – Annual Model Award, among seven prestigious categories.

Traditional dyeing processes generate large amounts of high-ammonia nitrogen wastewater, which can lead to water eutrophication and pose significant threats to aquatic life. To address this issue, Everlight Chemical’s plant introduced MD membrane distillation technology, effectively reducing ammonia nitrogen concentrations in wastewater. However, once this issue was resolved, a new challenge arose in dealing with the byproduct—ammonium sulfate waste liquid. To tackle this, the research and development team successfully applied advanced amination condensation technology to repurpose the recovered ammonium sulfate waste liquid as a raw material, replacing traditional ammonia solutions. This not only significantly reduced environmental pollution but also greatly improved resource utilization efficiency, achieving a closed-loop recycling model.

Looking ahead, Everlight Chemical will continue to refine the ammonium sulfate circular reuse technology and expand its application to more products and processes. The company is committed to enhancing the environmental feasibility and economic benefits of its technologies, driving green transformation through innovation. By working together, we aim to create a low-carbon, circular, and sustainable future, injecting more momentum into global environmental protection and resource regeneration.
